I have two platy fry from two moms i no longer have. Right now they are in the guppy tank. My question is, how old or big before i move them to main community? one was born in late April. The other i think June or July. I don't want their growth to be stunted in the smaller tank, plus one of my female guppies is about to have fry..so it will be getting crowded. The larger one is almost the size of a cherry barb, which when i had them, no one in tank hassled them..thanks for your advice..my first fry so we are are a bit attached to them..surprise babies the day each mom arrived lol

When they are bigger then your biggest fishes mouth it is usually safe to move them over. Just make sure they are still able to get food like the adults can and that they are not being picked on.

Ok..thanks..i will probably move the larger one now and keep watching the other grow:)
