Platy Gender?

Hey..
I'm relatively new to keeping live bearers and have bought what I thought was a male platy maybe cross swordtail, after closer inspection at home he/she looks pregnant?

It definitely looks like it has male "fin" parts but also looks like it has a gravid spot?? What is going on?? Please help

Probably a male , that spot may be part of his colors

Thanks for the feedback..
I did pick him because of his fins, but I don't think it's part of his colours as in sunlight it's quite dark red/black but I'm thinking maybe it's just his insides
