I don't think that would be off topic at all, however rinsing is IME by far the best and most thorough way to clean it.

When I stir around my sand I don't get any cloudiness. It just sinks right away.

I didnt even get cloudiness while putting it in

Ok thanks and i went to lowes but they had this pool filter sand plus for 98$ and not the normal stuff i will go to home depot and check later

In my experience, play sand will develop anaerobic pockets if more than 3" deep. Pool filter sand is better.

I just made the switch this morning! I used pool filter sand rinsed it for 1 hour until it was crystal clear and sid the change heres the results its been 3 hours



The corys are loving the sand!
