I';d say small feather dusters. Looks like them what with the long stem and the crown like thing on the end.

Does it retract?

Are the tubes flexible or hard? If hard I'd say feather duster if flexible hydroids.

So LFS said the colonized hydroids, they told me to get the rock out completely and toss it, I took a risk and removed the rock and did a little excavating, and chipped out part of the rock where they were set up, hopefully this works! Colony was small and have been watching the tank like a hawk the last week and haven't seen any other spots! Wish me luck

I wouldn't worry about that kind. They're pretty harmless

Ok so which kind is the "one"? I have both the ones pictured I. This post and the tiny little white ones, which I was also told is more of a phase when it come to them as there isn't enough of a food source for them to survive? Any truth behind this
