please identify this growth

Hi all. Can someone please identify this growth on my rock. I recently bought this rock from my lfs and have been cycling my tank now for nearly a month when I noticed the little branches growing and am curious to what this may be.

too small to make out. if you are still cycling your tank and you are leaving the lights on, i would say it's some sort of algae.

Hi. I keep the lights off during cycling only switch them on once a day for couple of minutes to look at tank while I do levels. The little growth have been there since I bought rock. I think I am more concerned that it may e bubble algae because one of the pieces of rock had it on so I had to take it back.

brown diatoms usually associated with the cycling process.

Hi. It's not the diatons its the little brown growth things I am worried about. If you look really close there are little brown stick things growing Thanx for replying

Can't tell pix too small. It may be a macroalgae with diatoms attached to it.
