I can't seem to keep a pleco alive longer than 3 days I've gone through 3 in the last month what am I doing wrong? I have a healthy established 55gal with plenty of fish that are all in good health but for some reason plecos can't survive am I missing something?

does your aquarium have a wide veriety of plants? [live, ofcourse] and a three stump suited for aquarium use? a three stump suposedly have neutrients catfish require, and catfish needs live aquarium plants to feed on. it is not sufficient or recommended or wise to have an aquarium fish just for the purpose of having it clean the aquarium from algéa. they need[/] specialized food. i use Tetra Plecomin, however, it's the only type of catfood i've attempted to use, so i cannot compared it with other types yet.
