Pleco Twitching and Curling up

Hi everyone, I have a problem with my Bulldog Pleco. I just got him a few hours ago and just in the past half hour he will start twitching and he seems very weak because he will almost slide off the glass. Then he will curl up in a corner! He also is breathing rapidly. Please help!

Have you tested your water? It's hard to give you advice without knowing what your water parameters are.

I know that fish dart very fast when the water is a high temperature but this could also be the fact that he is new and he is marking his territory

Something seems very wrong. Especially that he is "almost falling off" the glass. Please test your water for ammonia/nitrites/nitrates and report back.
