Which ones work?
I want something that eats algea for sure. Will a bristlenose work? What do clown plecos eat? I really like the look of them.

If you are doing a Planted Discus tank, you may never have much algae.

If you are keeping up tank maintenance and not overfeeding you may never have large amounts of algae.

Algae Eaters need their own diet as well as whatever grows in the tank.

And FYI there are plenty of Algaes that fish won't touch.

Planet Catfish is my resource for Pleco diets. Many need wood or protein as well as Algae.

I love Discus, I'm envious :)

One of your main concerns will be what Pleco can tolerate the high temps and low PH that Discus love.

I know C sterbai are a preferred Cory for that reason.

I have cories for the bottom, I have plants and do everything you said to do. I just has some algea.

So you should have us help ID the Algae so you can know how to get rid of it.

Timer for the lights 6 hours daily for now
PWCs ( which I'm sure you do a lot w Discus)
Proper lighting and ferts for your plants
Don't over feed
Test your water
No direct sunlight

How long has the tank been up ?
What are your water test results ?
What kind of light bulbs and how long do you run them ?
Temperature ?
What is your feeding routine ?
Plant ferts and schedule ?
Water change schedule ?

Algae can be a sign that something is put of balance. A little is ok. Brown Diatoms go away on their own. Some kinds like BBA are horrid.
