Plecos??

I have a couple plecos, a tiny albino and an 8 inch. I have been reading about sail fins and was wondering the dif between a sailfin and a common.

Pic of the baby, it keeps its fins down most of the time. Size is like 1.5 inches

Srry for spaming, were both sold as common, but due to fin shape i think the larger may be a sailfin

I like the baby one, mine is common dark, hard to seen him in my black gravel

Thank you!! I bought the larger @ about 6" for 7$, and the little one was 10 cause she is albino.

What exactly is the difference between a sailfin and a common pleco??

Commons are huge! They get over a foot long and their bio load is massive

From my research so do sailfins... can you tell from finshape??

It's really hard to tell I think its a common but I could be wrong

Im almost positive that is a common pleco. At a larger size they both look simalar but commons are usually darker

Ok. Thanx. Was just curious because its dorsal fin and tail are magnificent. Like super tall. And the tail has very prominent pointson top and bottom.

I think the common pleco is bigger than the sailfin pleco.
