Pond snail

I've got like 4 pond snails I put in there and they aren't cleaning the algae in the tank I've had them like 3 weeks shouldn't there be more as long as they have food also

I have some pond snails in my fry tank and like my apple snails, they're lazy about cleaning. My nerite snails on the other hand, are algae eating machines :).
 
There is but its hair algae is that cool and do they eat veggies because I feed my mystery snails zucc. And cucumbers
 
So if pond snails aren't good for algae what are they good for lol
 
Pond snails seem to be the one snail that's actually considered a pest. Quite a few people like mts, and some like ramshorns, but I don't see much love for pond snails.
