Possible parasite???

Plesse help. I have bugs and don't know if they are the good or the bad ones. Some are very tiny white bugs and then I found this big guy under my sand bed. I happened to be shining my flash light tonight and he was up against the glass burrowed under the sand. Good or bad. I'm afraid I may have an outbreak of the bad isopods.

I found one similar today. Except I found this when I picked up one of my large snails this guy was trying to burrow between the snails body and the shell

Yours is an amphipod. Harmless. I'm talking about the OP's initial pic.
