Omg I just loved looking at all the Betta photos! They truly are a beautiful fish...and after looking at all the pics, I had to go get one.

When I was at the pet store, they ha so many bettas, they just received a new shipment today, yay me! But holy prices they went all the way up to $50 for white crown tails, dumbo eared, half moons....just crazy! I am just plain happy with my $5 veil tail

He does not have a name yet (suggestions?) and his photos do not do him justice, his body is a nice light purpley color...I love my guy

Lol btw if he ends up being aggressive and you want to add something else what iv started to do with my betta's is add a young male minnow in their home, too quick for them to catch and eventually they learn to co-exist and iv been able to add them to tanks with several other fish after that process.
Idk if anyone else has tried it but works for me, random tip lol.

That's a great name! Aurora it is! He is currently in my community tank, though I'm thinking about getting him his own 5g tank

I bought a beta and that lead I t a 18 gallon saltwater tank, then a 50 gallon saltwater tank. No I want a planted betta tank. It never ends. I love this hobby!

This is my halfmoon, his name is Georgie (named after Dr. George O'Malley in Grey's Anatomy). He didn't eat for about a month after I got him but now he is very active and swims and eats like a happy fishy! He coexists peacefully with 4 gold barbs and a male endler

Updated pic of Silvio. He's hard to photograph...grrr. He won't flair at a mirror, but camera phones set him off. He's been busying himself by building bubble nests around the thermometer lately. I guess he likes it here.
He broke one of his dorsal rays a bit ago, which looks like an 'L'. The dorsal itself wasn't torn, but he still has the 'L' sticking out on his right side. when I first saw it, it was white and I was really frightened that he had an anchor worm. Thankfully, not the case.
