My work in progress 29 gallon... Please... Tell me anything I can do to make it better! I'm planning to add some dwarf hairgrass, and a sword of some sort.

I hope you're getting a 500+ gallon tank for some of these fish/ rehoming them. The Gar, shovelnose and pleco may be ok in a 500 gallon, also expect the the gar and shovelnose to make snacks out of the others. That is allot of really big fish.

Some food for thought here are the adult sizes of your fish.

Peacock cichlid: 4-6"
Jack Dempsey: 8-10"
Tiger shovelnose catfish: 4' +
Tiger Oscar: 12-16"
Rocket gar: 18-24"
Plecostomus: 12-24" +

I am not trying to be mean and bring you down just making you aware so all your fish can be healthy and happy. Tank looks good btw.

I love those Electric Blue Crayfish. It would look perfect in my Angel tank. Unfortunately they aren't legal in Oregon, don't know why.
Can they get along with Angelfish?

probably not.even mine, who is a fairly gentle cray, has snagged a few fish, with much shorter fins than an angel.

Bummer, Oh well, they aren't legal anyway so I guess it won't be to tragic to do without.
If I ever move out of state, I'll pick one or two up and give them their own tank.

Thank you fishfanatic. It's been a pain in the arse but it's been worth it. I'm happy with the progress.
