I'm going to buy two powerheads tomorrow. How many gph should o get for a 55g

You want a 10x turnover rate so that's 10 X 55 / 2 = 225. So two powerheads around 225 gph.

But 225 is practically nothing, even with two... I have 2 750's for my 30 so i suggest 2 750 korolias at the least for your 55. Maybe 1050's

I purchased the 750's for my 80 gal and I was worried they were going to be 2 much but I should have went with at least 1050 the 750's are not strong at all remember they are circulation pumps not water pumps my ehime 600 gph is so much stronger than the 750

I also would recommend at least 2 750's, even better would be 2 1050's. :)

It may sound like a lot but once you get them into the tank youll see. :-D

I have two 1050 Evos in my 55g and they work great, wouldn't have gone larger or smaller... may add a 550 soon
