Hi, i would guess no more than a couple of days. If you plan on using a trap, i would put her in it tonight and turn lights and airstone off. This should keep her calm and you might even have fry in the morning!!!I am new to platys and am just wondering how close she is.
If she's not stressing them i would leave her in there. Keeping lights, air-stones(if any) off, will reduce stress. Don't forget to feed her!!!She didn't have them last night should I leave her in the breeder or let her out?
WOW, she's a big mamma. I reckon she could have about 30-40 fry in there!!!. She looks pretty squared off to me, which is a sign that she's a very close. Is she ok in the trap, not stressing too much??....Still no babies from this crazy mamma! I am starting to think she is going to blow up lol.
The last thing you want is her freaking. It should be very soon. Let us know and don't forget the pics!!!She started freaking out and swimming into the walls so I just put her in the nursery tank and am going to let her have them in there.
Sorry, i honestly don't know. I have been so lucky so far, i've had no diseases. That is a tricky one and i wouldn't like to guess. Maybe start a new thread in the Unhealthy Fish section. I'm sure someone with more experience could help you better there....I will for sure!! One last question, I noticed last night that she has ich should I treat her for it now or wait?
Congrats on the new arrivals. As soon as she's finished or even now, feed her, she needs to keep her strength up, especially as she has ich.. One of my guppies recently had fry and i was feeding her as the fry were coming out...They are sooo cute!!
I bought some of that, but how soon should I feed them and when should I let them out of the breeder box and into the nursery tank? And how often should I feed them? P.S. thank you for all your help!
