I am planning on setting up a 30 litre tank soon and was gonna get a nice one with some cherry ship also.. so I just need to wait until I'm paid at the end of the month..

About the thing with the barbs. I have heard that barbs can be really mean to a lot of fish including platies. Platies are naturally docile and are easily pushed around.
