If you have males and females that are old enough, the right size tank, the right water conditions, the right decor, the right foods, the right temp and the right lighting, your odds are 50/50. If you want to increase your odds and more importantly increase the chances of your fry surviving, you'll need to deliberately breed your fish and set them up for success. They are not that difficult to breed.

While they're not hard to breed, there are easier species of fish to breed (guppies, zebra danios, ect.)
