I have a 100 gallon planted tank. 4 watts per gallon of T5 light and pressurized CO2. I am currently using the PPS Pro method of fertilizing it Our PPS-Pro Fertilizer Pack … Just Mix & Dose | Planted Aquarium Blog – Green Leaf Aquariums

and dosing according to the tank size which breaks down to be... 10 ML of each mix daily.

HOWEVER I have this black algae starting in the tank so my question is what do I do to start troubleshooting?

Decrease the dose? Increase the dose? Eliminate the method?

Thanks for any help.

Depending on your plant stock, heavy or light, decrease your lighting if possible. Since your running co2, what pH do you keep? I have 125 and keep my pH at 6.5 and still get some on driftwood but not to bad.

PH is 6.3... heavy planted... carpeting plants and some crypts. Lights were on 8 1/2 hours... Going to decrease to 7 1/2 and hope.
