protein skimmer question

so i was going to get the tunze 9002 but i cant get that 1 cause it requires me to put the whole system in the tank thats better for a biocube

has anybody ever used or uses the CPR Bak Pak protein skimmer n also if i run the skimmer can i eliminate my hobf n just filtrate my water with the skimmer its a 30 gallon planning on making it soft coral maybe hard coral

I've never run the Bak Pak, but I have read where they have produced good results for nano users in the forums.

It's supposed to be decent. The octopus BH-1000 is nice, if you can fit it. Works on nanocubes, not sure if it fits on biocubes.
