Pufferfish?

My boyfriend caught this little guy the other night with a little scoop net. Pufferfish? He is about a half inch long.

Cute little guy, wild caught I am guessing? Beware it may be endangered in the wild which will get you into some trouble for keeping him, hopefully he isn't also because he is wild caught (if he is and you are keeping him) you will want to QT him for a few months, sounds long but you don't want your tank to get wiped out.
 
Looks like a Canthigaster (sharpnose puffer) to me. It's bit hard to decide on a species given the size of the image and the size of the fish. If it's from Hawaii, I would suspect C. jactator.

I hope you live in Hawaii because you'll go to jail if you took that to the fish mainland :(
