What size pump (GPH) do I need for an under the tank sump for 150g FOWLR. The sump would have live rock, microaglae and protein skimmer and have to pump through bottom of drilled tank.

Internal or external pump? You want to run aprox 5-10x the tanks water volume thru the sump, so your looking at anywhere from 750-1500 gph.

Mag 12 (external pump) worked on my 155g. Twin overflow boxes.

I have a 125 gallon tank and I run a mag 12 and a mag 9.5 .

Mike, why are you running two pumps? Is one for backup. Seem like a great deal of power.

I have a BlueLine external on my 125. Nice and quiet.

eheim 1262 on my 125. 900 gph pump, 900 gph overflow. works great

I have two overflows and have both returning from the sump. Plenty of flow.

Oh, let's not forget that you need to match the pump flow the to the overflow. Too much and you run the sump dry. Too little and you flood.
