Hi guy's below I've posted as much as I can about my set up, as well as photos if they decide to upload lol.
My questions is about... JASMINE POLYPS!!!
I'm really struggling to get them growing.... They're slowly disappearing it seems, however it's rock base has merged onto the rock I placed it on initially and so has become one. I thought this was a sign of good health, I guess not.
Any suggestions or ideas would be largely appreciated?!?!
Nitrate, Nitrite & Amm 0, kh & ph (8.1) normal, phosphate (very low - I can tell because I've no nuisance algae, obvz this doesn't mean I don't have any but clearly it's not causing me issues.
What I'm dosing:
Marine pro-coral A-Elements & Tropic Marine pro coral K+Elements (2part dosage product), Kent Marine Iodide, water change every 10day's using coral pro salt.
My set up:
Display tank...
90 Gallons.
2x t5 39w whites (12noon-6pm). 2x t5 39w blue actinics. (8am-2pm and 5-10pm).
2x Rio power heads 2200 LPH per pump. (Each end of tank).
3/4 inch high sand bed.
Around 100-150kg of LR. (Of which 50kg in sump).
Deltec skimmer (it's not good enough to cope with my water load, I do need to upgrade. Only deals with about 40gallons).
Inverts/fish/coral:
2 Nas snails, 1 Mexican turbo snail, 2 strawberry banded snails, 2 money cowrie snails, 1 orange lipped conch snail, 1 green brittle star, 1 gold spiked cucumber, 2 blue legged hermit crabs, 2 bumble bee snails.
1 Yellow tang, 1 copperband butterfly, 1 regal tang, 2 humbug damsels, 6 green chromies.
Pink laced vein polyp
Baila red pulsing Xenia
Green star polyp
Purple jasmine polyp
Yellow sun coral
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Refugium planted display tank...
70 Gallons
2x t5 39w daylights and 1x t5 39w blue actinic all on from 5pm-9am.
1 Rio powerhead 1700 LPH.
1 inch of miracle mud mix.
Small pieces (frag like rubble) of LR.
Macro algae:
Halimada cactus algae, red bamboo algae, red birds nest algae, green cauliper profilera algae, red veggy seaweed algae, red bubble algae, brown seaweed, 2 types of cheato algae, straight end cheato (on the rock), browny/red climbing algae.
Inverts/fish:
10 strawberry banded tronchus snails, 1 Tiger cowry snail.
1 Bat fish.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Filtration tank/sump like feature....
Cheato algae (used as a filter in front of pump)
Various sponges (4)
11wt lighting low energy daylight bulb 2400k (I think, or near on. Can't remember).
Brown pencil slate Urchin (helps keep cheato to a minimum).
