a little while ago i was told that the purple mushroom in my tank was mushroom coral. its doing nicely! and now there are little sprouts all over the rock that it is on. im pretty excited. I also saw a tiny clam at my lfs, and they gave it to me for free. so now i have a little clam floating around!

They will sprout little mushrooms like there ain`t no tomorrow. I started with just two and several years later and taking several trips to the lfs for mushroom trades for other corals, here is what i have left.

They`ll be OK just make sure you do weekly or every other week PWC`s so they can get there share of essential trace elements. I also add Kent Marine Coral vite. I know sometimes supplements is not preferred and even by me This is the only one I use but by using this I make 2 trips a year to the LFS for selling and trading shrooms. I`m sure there are some out there that can do the same without supplements. But I always under use to keep from messing up the tank. But the most important thing is PWC`s. HTH
im going to do a PWC tomorrow, ive been letting my water sit overnight before i add it to the tank. which reminds me. does anyone know how much salt i should at to a 5 gallon bucket to make the gravity 1.024?

cant really see them but there are tiny sprouts of purple musrhroom coral literally all over the tank. its really neat. in addition, there is green coraline ( i think its coraline) growing on one side of a rock, then there is purple, and a darkish red. i wish i could get better pictures!
