i went to my LFS and he said that if i used to much purple up my calcium would be to high. what does he mean?

Is there another way to grow the purple thing on the live rock?

Theres many things to cause coraline not to grow. Have you tested your calcium levels? What type of water do you use? There may be things in your tap water if used, that may stunt the growth of coraline. Also calcium has to be a certain level..

i dont have a special light yet to grow it but he said when i bought it i should not add alot.
Do they pay you to be a LVT.
I use the reverse osmosis water that my LFS sell me

I have a friend who swears by it , but I never used it.

I'm assuming the ingredients in "purple-up" are calcium and magnesium and the things that Coraline likes anyways ?? So I suppose it could help. DOn't know....
