Quarantine Tank

Hey everyone, I just went out and purchased an extra tank to use as a hospital/quarantine tank. It's a 10 g (seems to be the norm)

Basically, I wanted to know how to go about isolating new additions (when buying new fish) before placing them into my main tank.
