i think i bought argonate live sand when i set up my tank, but now im not so sure. i cant get a close enough pic, but its definately larger athn sugar/salt.

Take about a teaspoon out and let it dry. Put it in a small cup and pour some vinegar on it. If it foams up it is argonate

well im hoping that i dont have crushed coral. is there a way to tell the difference? if it is cc i want it out.

CC doesnt look like sand.. it more corse in texture.. if it looks like sand its pretty safe to say that you dont have CC..
also.. for the CC or argonate sand to desolve (and relise minerals and what have you in your tank, I think the concern of the day is PO4 from CC) your PH would have to be far too low for a SW tank.. in other words IMO there realy isnt anything to worry about if that is the concern..
