I just got 1 male blue ram, girl at the store called it a german, because I couldnt pass him up. His colors were amazing, and she said he'd be fine in my tank. I have mollys corys and some danios.

He has joined the community, and now swims around with my mollys and is followed around by my corys.

Can I keep more than 1 male in the same tank? I was told I should get a female, but that they can get aggressive if they have eggs etc.

I currently have a 40g but Im trying to get a 55 off CL as we type.

You need a very large tank to keep multiple males. If you get a female and they do decide to spawn they will drive fish off from the territory they claim but rarely ever to they attack fish. Yes they will chase them off but honestly they don't chase them very far, just far enough from their spawn, then they turn and go immediately back. I wouldn't let the possibility of a pair spawn stop you from getting a female.
