Question about snails ?

Ok I read that snails were asexual , but my snails have been "attached" to one another for a day down . Whats going on ?

What kind of snails ? Apple snails need male and female to mate but rams horn and pond snails don't . I know that they like company it my just be friends 

I think that even some of the asexual snails still mate when given the opportunity.

I think they are Mystery Snails I got them from pet smart.

Mystery snails, if I'm not wrong, have both male and female snails. You need one of each. There's no real way of sexing them, though.

Yeah. The rams will reproduce heavily, and mysteries have large bio loads, so just be careful ;P

I you would like a great algea eating snail, go with nerites. They cannot reproduce in pure freshwater. The eggs will not hatch if laid
