Question about tank stands and furniture

So I will be setting up 75 gallon fish tank. It will be fully planted and aquascaped.

I have no stand. The stand I see pet stores sell seem to be cheaply made pieces with not even solid wood.

My question is how well do these actually hold up to that kind of weight.

If I choose to go out and buy a used solid wood pieces of furniture would that be stronger? Are they some special reenforcements that are put on tank stand?

How can I estimate how much weight a hutch or something can hold?

Most are pretty flimsy

Aqueon and All Glass I think make the best. My 38 gallon tank and stand are Aqueon. Stand was expensive at Petland but very sturdy.

Just remember whatever you use or buy a gallon of water weighs roughly 8lbs in addition to however many pounds of sand/gravel and decor.
