Wondering if this would be good for a 40gal long, lightly planted tank.

Odyssea T5 Aquarium Lighting

Looking to replace conventional hood style as mine is old, Jerry rigged ( apologizes to Jerry ) and basically a POS.

Suggestions on cost effective alternatives welcome.

I have been using the 24" model of that light on my 29 gallon and I love it. I think the company had some problems with their lights a while ago, but I think they are good now. Have had no problems in 6 months.

I'm looking at this and it looks like it has the blue moonlight deal too. Does yours ??

Yes it does and it looks awesome at night after lights out.
