Quick question!

Hello my fellow AA members! I have a quick question! I have had my tank up and running and fully cycled with the penguin 100 and penguin 150 on a 20 gallon. I'm lending my best friend my 50 gallon tank because I don't have the room. I gave him my API nexx filter to start up. I also gave him my penguin 100 (cycled) filter. I went to test his water today and it read like it's cycled? Is this possible? His has been set up for about a month now? (He already has fish) and yes I know we need a water change!

Yes if you gave him filters then you can instantly cycle tanks with seeded media
