Tank: 10 gal, two fake plants, asian style gazebo, several plant bulbs
Fish: 1 rainbow shark 1.5"

First off I know I need a bigger tank! I was misinformed when buying the fish and will correct this as soon as possible.

Now for my question. I have been trying to grow some plants in my tank but it seems like my r.s. keeps eating them. He/she won't eat the pellets I put in the tank, only the plant bulbs and the white stuff growing on the decor that I hope is algae. Will the plants grow or is my r.s. killing them?

i dont think anything grows if it's getting killed, you might want to buy one of those plant protectors that wrap around the stem.

Are you working on a bigger tank? It's probably out of the stress of not having a big enough tank.

Yes I am hoping to get a bigger tank in the next few weeks. I have heard that sometimes the younger r.s. don't like to eat pellets so maybe it's just it's preferred food?
