I know to some this might sound like a dumb question but as i was looking in my fridge i became quite curious. Will a pleco eat a pickle?

Doubtful and it is not something I'd personally want in any of my tanks.

Spinach (fresh, not canned ;)), cucumber, zucchini, lettuces, etc. Well cleaned leafy veggies should be fine to try out. You'll know fairly soon if your pleco takes to them or not. I'd avoid tomatos or anything else that is on the soft side inside to avoid fouling the tank.

I would say adding salt and vinegar to the tank is not a good idea ;)
