I have lost my only two fish (complete disappearance). Although I was warned on this forum, I left several hitch-hiker crabs on my LR.com shipment and I believe they have assisinated by clown and blenny. My question is do I need to cycle the tank again? The fish had been in the tank for almost 6 months. Does the system loose anything once the fish bioload is removed? I am going to try to trap the crabs before adding new fish. FYI all my inverts are OK (soft corals, cleaner shrimp, snails, hermits, etc. etc.).

Thank you,
Don

If the fish have only been gone for a few days you do not need to re-cycle. I would feed your tank a little bit every few days though to maintain and feed the bacteria. As long as you keep up with this, you will be in good shape and can add fish one at a time whenever you are ready.

Do you have a plan to get those crabs out? Good Luck!
