Update:

Decided to take a pic using a flashlight as a back light and turned the flash off on my camera. I think it shows the interior of the formation even better.

Also, forgot to include:

4 x zebra danios
1 x leopard danio

to my stock. Sorry I forgot you little guys =-O

Turns out it was old algae wafers as everyone suspected. It is long gone now - I cleaned the little sucker out!
