Rebuild for Paddle-Tail Newt

So my Paddle-Tail newt was recently downsized from the 20 long to a 10. (I don't think she's too thrilled with me, but it's temporary)
In the meantime, any opinions on what I should do with the tank? She spends nearly all her time in the fountain filter, aside from when she comes out to scavenge for food.
I know I want to build some rocks up from the front of the glass at the fountain to the second flower pot to hide those. Any other suggestions for making the tank better?

Build a river going through the tank that empress out into a shallow pool, fill it with plants, make a beach on one side and plant land plants in the land area! It would be really cool!
