Recommendations for heater for 36g tank

I'm recovering a failed tank. The heater that was with it does not appear to work anymore. I'm looking for suggestions for a new one. The failed on is Aqueon brand. I think it stopped working because the water level got too low.

I can't really comment on brand but I like ones that can be adjusted and I like the ones that shut-off if they detect no water.
