I have purchased a nice large lump of green star polyps from my lfs, and he is doing well. However, at night when the polyps all go inside, there a re a couple long tubes that stick out, slowly overnight red fan looking things pop out of these tubes. They look just like a regular feather duster, but the 'feather' part is all red, not white or banded like normal ones - is this a different kind of duster than i am used to, or is it something else?
Tried to get a pic, but by them time i can get them in focus and enough light they disappear!

Sound like calcerous tube worms. They are pretty hit and miss on survival but harmless.

Cheers
Steve
