Red river shrimp

Went to Grosvenoir tropicals in liburn N Ireland today love the store I got 2 Bala sharks 2 glass cat fish and on my way out something caught my eye it was a bright red shrimp I went to get mum came back and I couldn't see him I thought he had been bought until one of the staff pointed out that they can change to a dull colour I looked in and seen he had turned brown ha so I brought my new fish to there new home

Can you post a photo? I have a feeling that your red river shrimp is just a nickname and not the real species name. In fact, it might be a red cherry shrimp. How large is it?
