Refugium Flow Question

Hello, I just set up a 40 gallon fuge for my 225 and had a question about flow. I am running it at about 75-100 gph. Any more than that it does not seem to drain into the sump quick enough. I have a 1" bulkhead as the drain and if I open the flow the water level gets way too high.

Is 2 to 2.5 enough turnover for a fuge. Should I add a powerhead to it. I plan on just putting some live rock rubble in it and growing aome macros and pods.

That sounds like a good turnover to me. You want the water to move slowly through the fuge. I think it is a great flow rate for what you are trying to accomplish with the fuge.

Ok thanks, guess I am just used to seeing more flow so it seemed low.
