We used tap water to fill our BioCube 14 gallon. Currently we have 10lbs of live sand - and that's about it. We are using a Poly Filter along with the Carbon Filter.

We just got back from our LFS and there's trace amounts of copper - most likely from our tap water. We are using Cuprisorb to remove the copper. Since we don't have anything else in the tank - is this bad to start this way? I wish I would have used Reverse Osmosis water - but we didn't.

The LFS said to let it cycle through for another week using the Cuprisorb in a small "The Bag" and we have it placed in the filter area getting lots of water running through it.
