yea i tested my phosphate from my tap water its 1.0 so if i didnt use a ro unit i would definately have some type of algae outbreak by now lol

I'm on the same boat as Ryan, I used tap to top-off, and I'm starting to see patches of cyano and HA. Now I have RO to top off

IMO a priceless thing to get

An RO/DI unit is the best investment you can make for your tank. Controlling what goes into your tank is crucial to it's well being and the RO unit is the foundation of that control.

+1, like I said, priceless

I was foolish and used to use tap water as well. Now that I use ro/di, I also find that the water looks clearer. So another plus in my books.
