So I just got some new Texas holey rock but find it that it was too big to boil. So I improvised by placing the rock in a regular bucket ( if it fits) then pour all the hot water you need then cover accordingly with foil. Mind you this is my first time doing this, but as of late the rocks I have bought have been to large for the everyday pot to fit in. I kept it covered for 30- ish minutes, hopefully with the boiling hot water covered, this would eliminate any bad critters or bacteria hiding in the holes. So will keep you folks posted on how this is going.

texas rock is awesome.

i just hosed mine down, same i did the lava rocks.

put them on a table outside, grab the hose, and blast away.

i would never boil or bake rocks, some rocks can explode. (learnt this camping along the river murray, be careful what rocks you use as a bonfire boundary)
