No salt here salt helps to add a mucus layer on the fish to protect from parasites but most good dechlorinators do the same job
 
I have heard a lot of things. I never use it. A Lot of other members don't either. I put as little as possible in my tanks.
 
I don't use any salt in freshwater tanks either.

Whether it's "good" for the fish largely depends on the type of fish.
 
Add me to the list... I don't. Did once when treating columnaris in some new stock waaaaaaaay back when... No need for it unless treating a disease IMO
