I have diatoms on my sand and some algae and I am looking for either a fish or invert(s) to fix this. I have a 40 gallon tank. I have aragonite sand. I was thinking a yellow prawn goby? Suggestions?

There isn't anything that consumes or solves diatoms besides time. Diatoms feed off of the silicates in the sandbed (mainly) and the rock in the tank. Once this is consumed, they die off. This is a normal part of the life stages of a tank and nothing to worry about even though it can be unsightly.

turbo snails and a couple other types of snails will eat diatoms, but they will go away after time.

yep, I usually wait it out as well, they will go away. :)

Cause keep in mind anything that eats also poops which just adds to your bioload. I rarely add a critter to "fix" an issue, most times there is a way to fix it without adding a new guy.
