saltwater leech?

i found what looked like a leech in my overflox box yesterday when i was doing some cleaning/waterchange are they harmful to the reef? since i saw one i just assume theres more i just havent seen yet

it was all black maybe half an inch big i wish i could have taken a picture but my cameras battery was dead

I thought leeches couldn't dwell in saltwater.

well they very well cant maybe, but this isnt a definitive ID it just looked like one lol

Do you have anemonies or anything? Maybe it's a piece off one or something.

I`m wondering if it`s a nudibranch? A picture would help us to be sure.

Perhaps a black stomatella?

If so, they're harmless algae grazers, and known hitch-hikers.
