Sand? B or W

Starting a 55 and a 10 not sure if I want black or white bottom. I think sand looks good but how dirty does it get and how hard is to clean?



I want to continue the B and W theme of the room, the 55 will be on stand ofcourse. Africans will be in the 55 and I thought about doing a pure neon glow tank for the 10 spot (so probably black base there)
So thoughts on sand?

Welcome to AA!
White or tan sand looks more natural but black is stunning especially with a black background. I have tanks with both but don't have a preference. Lol.

I have white sand in my 100g African tank but if I was to redo I would go with black sand. My tank stays clean but waste is very visible. Friend has black sand and even after some neglect it looks spotless and nice.
