Scarlet hermit: Molting?

Anyone seen or heard of a scarlet hermit molting? I'm not sure if mine has or if he's been vigorously murdered by my emerald crab. I only think he's molting because I found part(s) of him around my tank but When I moved his shell, I saw legs move IN the shell. Thoughts?

When hermits molt, you'll find the 'front end' of it floating around somewhere like it was turned into a snack.

Awesome. So I've fished out and put together the pieces to what look like the front end. However the shell hasn't moved all day.

Could have got a new shell or it is dead. Could be either.

How's the crab? they are sometimes weak after they molt. One of mine pretty munched stayed in the same spot for two days staring at his molted shell. Others are up and running the same day. I've only had my tank 5 weeks and have had three crabs and my shrimp molt, this was not something I had planned on or known when I started!

He is fine now. After a while never saw the molted shell. Guess someone must have eaten it. But he is fine now.
