Hello! I just got my new 10 gallon tank set up (no fish or plants yet, not cycled). I was wondering how much Seachem prime per gallon?

A capful is enough to dose 50 gallons. So I would say about up to a single thread in the cap.

Depends on how you dose the water when you do WC's. do you dose the replaced water or the total of the tank.

I dose for the tank, so say its my 55 I do a cap and basically a half.

Some would say a half a cap would be enough for a 50% wc.

Either way it would be fine. But seachem is some strong stuff.

Even if I do a 20% change I still dose a capful. I have 55 by the way. It's just my choice.

Right, it's not gonna harm the fish. I do a cap and a half because I'm to lazy to try to measure out the right amount for 5g. Haha

I read on the Seachem site that a capful (5 mL) is enough to treat 50 gallons. So is 1 mL enough for 10 gallons?

Get a dosing syringe from your local CVS or Walgreens pharmacy. The dosing of Prime is 1mL per 10 gallons of water. Using a dosing syringe will enable you to get the appropriate dose each time, every time.
