How long does it take for a second filter to build bacteria on an already cycle tank

Good question I'm following along to hear what others say

I always wait two weeks but I'm not really sure on the correct answer

I dont know if there is an 'correct' answer but the longer you can leave the new filter in the cycled tank, the better. The minimum I would suggest would be atleast 3-4 weeks.

Yeah I'd go with "As long as possible." It's really hard to say exactly but I'd treat it similar to an initial filter break in period.
